Just a short drive southwest of Jackson, Michigan International Speedway sits in the open fields of the Irish Hills – a classic stop on the NASCAR calendar. With summer weather, rolling countryside, and the noise of race weekend, the trip easily feels like a full getaway.

Because large crowds are expected, fans are encouraged to arrive early. If you have a parking pass, check the instructions on the back, as some routes differ from general parking. Local police and parking staff will be on-site directing traffic into the appropriate lots.

Directions

• From Jackson: Take US-127 South and follow the signs toward Brooklyn, then continue west on MI-50 and follow event signage to Michigan International Speedway.
• From Ann Arbor: Travel west on I-94, take Exit 159 (M-52 South), and follow it through Manchester toward Brooklyn until you reach the Speedway area.
• From Detroit: Take I-94 West to Exit 142 (US-127 South), then follow MI-50 West toward Brooklyn and continue to the track.
• From Toledo and Ohio: Use US-23 North to I-94 West, then take Exit 159 (M-52 South) and follow the signs all the way to the Speedway.
• From Lansing and Central Michigan: Take US-127 South toward Jackson, continue on MI-50 West, and follow the posted directions into the parking zones.

Approximate driving times

• Jackson: 20–25 minutes (about 12 miles via US-127 South and MI-50)
• Ann Arbor: 45–50 minutes (around 40 miles via I-94 and M-52)
• Detroit: 1 hour 10 minutes (roughly 70 miles via I-94 and US-127)
• Toledo: 1 hour 15 minutes (about 75 miles via US-23 and I-94)
• Lansing: 1 hour (around 55 miles via US-127 and MI-50)

• Expect heavier traffic on the roads leading into the Speedway, especially mid-morning on race day.
