MAP OF THE GRANDSTANDS

Michigan International Speedway features several grandstand sections that line the frontstretch from Turn 4 to Turn 1. Each offers a slightly different angle of the action, with clear views of cars.

The Start/Finish Grandstand

The Start/Finish Grandstand is located directly opposite pit road and the start line, providing a full view of the pre-race grid, pit stops, and the checkered flag at the end. Fans seated here experience the electric atmosphere of the start and finish while watching teams at work in the pits throughout the race. The upper rows give a panoramic overview of the front stretch, while the lower ones put you close to the sound and motion of the cars.

Pit Out Grandstand

The Pit Out Grandstand is positioned near the exit of pit road, where cars rejoin the track after their stops. It’s a thrilling section to watch drivers accelerate hard and merge back into race traffic. The combination of pit activity and full-speed action makes this one of the most energetic areas along the straight.

Pit In Grandstand

The Pit In Grandstand sits near the entrance to pit road, offering a perfect view of cars braking hard to enter the pits and the strategy moments that can decide the race outcome. Fans in this area can see both the racing line leading into Turn 4 and the busy pit lane operations just below.

Turn 4 Grandstand

The Turn 4 Grandstand wraps around the final corner of the oval, giving fans an exciting look at cars sweeping through Turn 4 before blasting down the front straight. It’s a prime viewing area for overtakes, near-misses, and dramatic moments as drivers fight for position on the corner exit.

Turn 1 Countertops Grandstand

The Turn 1 Countertops Grandstand overlooks the entry into the first corner, one of the most challenging sections of the track. It’s the place to witness the intensity of race starts, as the field funnels into Turn 1 side by side. Fans here enjoy a perfect mix of close racing and speed as cars transition from the straight into the curve.

Turn 1 Grandstand

The Turn 1 Grandstand sits closest to the inside of Turn 1, providing a direct and intimate view of the braking zone and corner apex. This is where fans can feel the force of the cars decelerating from top speed and see bold overtaking attempts unfold just meters away.
